Financing Female-Led Innovation

Event description

Access to capital remains one of the most significant barriers for female founders, but the tide is turning. Financing Female-Led Innovation brings together national leaders in venture capital (VC), angel investing, and funding strategy to demystify what it really takes to raise capital as a woman in business.

This 90-minute session offers practical insight into the funding journey: from identifying the right capital type (grants, angel, VC) to understanding what investors actually look for. Designed for early-stage and scaling founders, this event is your opportunity to hear directly from those who write the cheques, and those who’ve secured them.

Featuring a virtual keynote from Cheryl Mack, CEO of Aussie Angels, followed by a facilitated panel of experienced investors and founders, including Phoebe Bardsley from Go Locum, Jasmin Flori-Hess from Raindrop and Liandra Gaykamangu, the session will cover readiness, strategy, common pitfalls, and where to start.

Held as part of October Business Month, this event will be facilitated with a live panel in Darwin, and virtual speakers joining from across Australia. Participants will leave with a clear understanding of how to approach funding confidently, and where to go next.

Who should attend:

Female founders, startup teams, business owners, ecosystem enablers, and anyone supporting women-led innovation in the NT.
