An Introduction to AI's ‘Uncanny Valley’

Event description

The ubiquity of AI-driven content saturating daily media has presented an entirely new set of challenges to the global population, as we struggle to distinguish authentic content from that which is considered “fake”. This presentation introduces the audience to the technology that underpins AI, as well as the various techniques the experts use to tell the difference between AI generated content - photos, videos, and writings - and that which originates from good old fashioned human hands and ingenuity.

Presented by Neha Chriss, a seasoned cybersecurity leader with over 30 years of global experience spanning fintech, defence, healthcare, and technology startups. She has held pivotal roles including Director of Product Security at Marqeta, Security Engineering Manager for Partnerships at Canva, and Security Engineer at LoopPay and Simple Finance. Known for her deep technical expertise and sharp strategic insight, Neha is now the Founder of DeepOcean Cyber Security, where she focuses on building high-trust, high-resilience systems that safeguard innovation at scale.

Who should attend: This talk is targeted at those with minimal to expert level understanding of AI and modern computing.
