AUSTRAC information session - accounting professionals

Event description

About the event

As of 1 July 2026, accounting professionals must comply with new anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing (AML/CTF) laws.

AUSTRAC, Australia's AML/CTF regulator and financial intelligence unit, is hosting an information session for accounting professionals in the Northern Territory.

The session will help accounting professionals prepare for and meet their AML/CTF obligations. It will cover:

  • AML/CTF obligations, including enrolment, customer due diligence, and reporting requirements
  • AUSTRAC’s regulatory expectations
  • available resources and guidance
  • common implementation challenges.

Participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions and engage with AUSTRAC representatives.

Registrations close on Monday 12 October.

Registered attendees will receive an email prior to the session with the agenda and joining details.
