Station Mechanical Solutions
Katherine-based Station Mechanical Solutions began as a small business in 2007 - with Adam Blackwood ‘on the tools’ and his wife Linda handling admin and invoicing in her spare time.
The couple saw a gap in the market to provide an effective, quality mechanical service to cattle stations in a cost-efficient way.
The resource sector was booming and many stations that had traditionally employed their own station mechanics were struggling to compete with the mines.
Fast forward to 2023 and the team of 1.5 has grown to 10, with skilled teams providing on and off site mechanical support to cattle stations and commercial clients across the Territory with well-equipped field service units and a light aircraft as part of their fleet.
Linda says, “You don’t get nothing for nothing - personal sacrifice is required, so make sure you are building a life you love.”
