TIO

TIO was established in 1979 to provide insurance options for those living in the Northern Territory. Our focus has not changed.

Headquartered in Darwin, our strength lies in our solid understanding of the conditions faced within the Territory year after year. Whether that be flood, cyclone or whatever else Mother Nature can throw our way, we live here too and we get it.

As a division of Allianz Australia Insurance Limited and part of the global Allianz Group, TIO is supported by the world’s largest insurer.

We provide a comprehensive range of insurance products across both personal and business portfolios. This includes home, motor, marine, business, life, travel and workers compensation. We also manage the Motor Accidents Compensation Scheme on behalf of the Northern Territory Government.

Employing 170 staff, we are proud of our local claims and call centre, with important decisions about your insurance being made right here in the Territory. TIO is, and always will be, for Territorians.

Territory Generation

Territory Generation was established in 2014 and our purpose is to safely, efficiently and reliably generate electricity to contribute to the lifestyle and development of the Northern Territory. Our focus has remained the same.

Headquartered in Darwin, we are a government-owned commercial organisation that is highly efficient and sustainable. We are undertaking the largest transformation of the Northern Territory electricity system ever seen. We are proud of what we have achieved so far, with many more initiatives to be carried out.

Territory Generation is installing a new battery energy storage system, along with new machinery at Owen Springs, which heralds a new era of power supply for the Northern Territory. When completed it will be one of the two largest grid-tied battery storage projects in Australasia. We’re replacing aged electricity generators with the latest equipment, to provide efficient and reliable power supply, drive down the cost of producing electricity and to support a transition to a renewable future.

Innovative technologies and the transition to renewables are at the forefront of our Strategic Plan. We have established a Remote Operations Centre, which uses a high-speed data network to link all operational sites and monitor and remotely control the performance of our power generation facilities.

Employing 200 staff, safety is universally recognised as our highest priority and is enshrined in our values. As a trusted and respected employer of choice, Territory Generation is proud to support local Northern Territory businesses and the communities in which we work, live and operate.

Channel Nine

Channel Nine’s local parent company is appropriately called Territory Television, founded by a group of Darwin businessmen in 1969.

The station began broadcasting in November 1971 and has continued to grow through support of local industry - and through its community involvement - in the years since, rebuilding along with the city in the wake of the devastation of Cyclone Tracy.

Originally called Channel Eight, the company’s subsequent owners, Nine Network, changed the brand and programming to Channel Nine in 2003 and continues to bring the only commercial news to Darwin though its massive resources across Australia and the world. Our local newsroom ensures Darwin gets a view of events and happenings across the Northern Territory, while Australia gets to know of them through us as well.

In media terms, Nine continues to invest in its local presence and commitment and provides a valuable advertising vehicle to clients across the business spectrum that is overseen and advised by Darwin people here in Darwin - not handed off to teams outside our market who don’t understand the Territory or its business cycle.

Territory Television means just that – it’s our Territory.

Imparja

Since 1988, Imparja television has been integral to the Northern Territory business community, as the carrier of news and entertainment, and a pathway between our clients and their customer base.

We are locals, headquartered in Alice Springs. We service every regional area of the Territory, from Tennant Creek, to Katherine, to Nhulunbuy. The profit we make stays within the NT and supports the wider community in which we operate, which makes us unique amongst the NT broadcasters.

We pride ourselves on adding value to our clients business, and continue to invest in delivering the best outcomes possible. We understand the connection between our audience, and the products and services of our clients.

We do this because we care about the Territory. We care, because we're local. Doing business with Imparja makes your business and the Territory stronger.

Let us help support your business today.

Territory Q

Territory Q is northern Australia's premium business magazine and winner of the 2016 NT Media Awards Magazine of the Year. It is distributed free to thousands of business owners and other influential people every quarter and has a direct mail data base of over 4,500 corporates.

TQ, as it is affectionately known, covers a vast range of business stories - from the $38 billion Inpex gas project to the husband-and-wife electrical firm in Winnellie.

TQ is proud to promote Territory business and is the only privately-owned magazine in the NT that is purely Territorian - it is owned by a Territorian, written by Territorians, photographed by Territorians, designed by Territorians and distributed by Territorians. TQ unashamedly tells the Territory's business story in a bright, well-written, positive way. It is a controlled content platform - giving business the rare opportunity to get across their message.
